About this Role

Shape the future of governance at Equinox Learning Trust

Equinox Learning Trust is a small and ambitious multi-academy trust serving children and young people across West Berkshire. With two primary schools and one secondary school, we are committed to delivering excellent educational outcomes and ensuring that every child can thrive.

We are seeking an exceptional Governance Manager to play a key role at the heart of our Trust.

Working closely with the Chair of Trustees, Executive Head, Trustees, Members and school leaders, you will lead and coordinate governance across the Trust, ensuring that our Board, committees and Local Governing Bodies operate effectively, compliantly and in line with statutory requirements and best practice.

This is a flexible, varied and influential role that combines governance leadership, regulatory compliance, board support and stakeholder engagement. As the Trust's lead governance professional, you will provide expert advice, support effective decision-making and help ensure that governance arrangements continue to evolve and strengthen as the Trust develops.

About You

You will be a highly organised, proactive and professional individual with experience of supporting boards, committees, governing bodies or senior decision-making forums.

You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build productive relationships with senior leaders, trustees and governors whilst maintaining independence, discretion and objectivity.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with governance experience in education, charity, legal, company secretariat, public sector or other regulated environments.

We Offer

    • A strategic and rewarding role at the heart of the Trust
    • Flexible hybrid working arrangements
    • A supportive and collaborative working environment
    • Opportunities for professional development and growth

    • The chance to make a meaningful contribution to improving outcomes for children and young people.
