About the
Role
We are seeking a proactive, solutions-focused and educationally driven People
Business Partner to join our Multi-Academy Trust. This is a key role where you
will work in close partnership with Headteachers, Principals, and senior
leaders across our schools to deliver both strategic and operational HR
support.
Operating
across a diverse group of academies, you will play a vital role in aligning
people strategies with educational priorities, supporting school improvement,
and enabling leaders to effectively manage their teams. You will be
instrumental in driving a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
across the Trust, ensuring that our staff are supported to deliver the best
outcomes for pupils. The role is
predominantly working with Bristol based academies but could involve working
with academies in and around Swindon occasionally.
Key
Responsibilities
- Partner
with Headteachers, Principals, and senior leaders to develop and implement
people strategies that support school and Trust improvement priorities
- Ensure
consistent application of Trust policies, procedures, and HR best practice
across all academies
- Provide
expert, pragmatic advice on complex employee relations matters, including
disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management
- Lead
and support organisational change processes, including restructures,
consultations, and staffing reviews across schools
- Use
workforce data and insight to inform decision-making, support school
leaders, and improve organisational performance
- Oversee
the preparation and quality assurance of HR documentation, ensuring
compliance and consistency across the Trust
- Work
in partnership with the Finance Business Partners, Recruitment Team to support workforce planning,
safer recruitment, and talent management across multiple sites
- Working
with the Head of People Employee Engagement, champion staff wellbeing,
engagement, and inclusion initiatives across the Trust
- Ensure
compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and
Trust policies
About You
- CIPD
Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Proven
experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role, ideally
within education or a multi-site organisation
- Strong
knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application within a
school environment
- Experience
of working with senior leaders, with the ability to influence, challenge
and support effectively
- Excellent
organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage a varied
caseload across multiple schools
- Confident
in managing complex employee relations cases with professionalism and
sound judgement
- Strong
analytical skills, with the ability to interpret workforce data and
provide meaningful insight
- Resilient,
adaptable and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing
environment
- A
