We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Trust Finance and Contracts Manager to join our central finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Finance Business Partner (FBP), this strategically significant role will provide high-quality financial leadership and operational support across all academies within the Trust.
The post-holder will lead on financial planning, budget setting, management accounts, forecasting, financial compliance, contracts management, procurement, and financial risk management. This role is central to ensuring strong financial governance, value for money, and long-term sustainability across the Trust.
Key Duties Include:
Budget setting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Monthly management accounts and variance analysis
Financial systems development and reporting
Contracts management, procurement, and tendering
Financial governance, audit, and statutory compliance
Line management of Finance staff
Supporting Principals and senior leaders with financial strategy
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Significant experience within education, public sector, or regulated finance environments
Proven leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting
Strong understanding of academy finance, governance, and compliance frameworks
Experience of contracts management and procurement
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to combine strong technical expertise with strategic insight
