Senior Site Manager (Cams Hill School, Shearwater Avenue, Fareham, PO16 8AH)
Salary: £37,710.40 - £51,216.88 FTE (Depending on experience)
Full time: 37 hours, 52 weeks per year
Hours: 0600 – 1400 or 0800 – 1600 (these hours are negotiable and will be discussed at interview)
Evenings and weekends will be required.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised Senior Site Manager to oversee the smooth running of our school’s facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference, contributing significantly to the high-quality education provision we strive to achieve across our Trust.
As Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school site is safe, secure, and maintained to a high standard, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and school policies
• Act as a key point of contact for health and safety matters across the school
• Maintain records relating to statutory compliance (e.g. fire alarms, Legionella, electrical and gas testing, asbestos)
• Monitor and where required undertake statutory checks, maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly records
• Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of all school buildings and grounds.
• Supervise works on site, ensuring work is completed safely, to specification and within agreed timescales
• Ensure contractors comply with safeguarding and health and safety requirements
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms and call-outs (Including Keyholding)
• Line-manage the in-house cleaning and Site team
• Take responsibility for the security and safety of the school buildings and grounds
• Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and overall site upkeep
• Proactively identify defects and maintenance issues, taking action to minimise costs
• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the school and its pupils
• Report defects beyond your expertise promptly, arranging external contractors where necessary
• Manage planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Prepare rooms and facilities for school activities, events and external use as required.
About You
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
• Able to respond effectively to reactive maintenance issues while managing ongoing tasks
• Experienced in site management (school experience desirable)
• Proactive, practical, and solution-focused
• Committed to maintaining a safe and high-quality environment
Essential Requirements
• Full UK Driving Licence
• MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) qualification, or willingness to undertake training
