Location: Unit 28, Fareham Shopping Centre, PO16 0PQ

Available Shifts (Choose what works for you):

Monday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

Wednesday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

Pantries are about so much more than food - they give members of the community confidence, improved physical health and mental wellbeing.


What You’ll Be Doing:

 Welcoming and Engaging with Visitors

You’ll be the first point of contact for members of the public and service providers—primarily through face-to-face interactions, with occasional communication via email.

 Providing Information and Support

You’ll help new and existing members understand how the Pantry operates, assist with sign-ups, and guide people toward other helpful local resources and services.

 Retail and Stock Responsibilities

You’ll help maintain a tidy and well-organized Pantry by rotating stock, checking deliveries, completing daily checklists, and supporting with manual handling when needed.

 Promoting Our Services

You’ll play a key role in spreading the word—encouraging new memberships and sharing information about upcoming workshops, events, and courses in the community.

 

Desirable Criteria:

Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willing to complete our free in-house training)

Level 2 Retail qualification


 About You:

  • Experience working directly with customers in a face-to-face setting.
  • You remain positive, approachable, and calm—even during busy periods.
  • You're comfortable using basic computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • You're a team player who takes pride in going the extra mile to support others.
