Flying High Partnership is seeking an exceptional Inclusion Lead Practitioner to join our Education Team on a one-year secondment. This is a unique opportunity to shape inclusion practice across our partnership while continuing to maintain an in-school inclusion leadership role for part of the week.
This role would particularly suit:
- Experienced SENDCos and Inclusion Leaders looking to extend their impact beyond a single school
- Current and aspiring system leaders with a strong track record of improving outcomes for children with SEND and additional needs
- Leaders passionate about developing others and strengthening inclusion practice across a wider partnership

The Role
This role sits at the heart of our commitment to inclusion.
We are seeking an exceptional Inclusion leader to join our Education Team as an Inclusion Lead Practitioner. Working alongside the Director of Inclusion and the existing Inclusion Lead Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our Inclusion Strategy, supporting schools to strengthen practice across SEND, attendance and behaviour.
This is an exciting opportunity to extend your influence beyond your own school and contribute to improving outcomes for children across the Flying High Partnership. You will provide targeted support to schools, develop the capacity of SENDCos and Inclusion leaders, lead professional learning and contribute to inclusion reviews, quality assurance activities and improvement planning.
The role will involve regular travel across our schools and close collaboration with school leaders, the Inclusion Team and wider Education Team. For the remainder of your working week, the successful candidate will continue to fulfil an in-school SEND/Inclusion leadership role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the Partnership's Inclusion Strategy across SEND, Attendance, and Behaviour
- Providing targeted support to schools, including those requiring rapid improvement
- Coaching and developing SENDCos, Attendance Champions, Behaviour Leads, and school leaders
- Leading and contributing to inclusion reviews, quality assurance activities, and improvement planning
- Supporting schools with complex inclusion cases and decision-making
- Developing and delivering professional learning for leaders, teachers, and support staff
- Building strong partnerships with external agencies and specialist services
- Identifying and sharing excellent inclusion practice across the partnership
- Contributing to the development of Partnership-wide systems, resources, and approaches that strengthen inclusion provision

About You
We are looking for an exceptional Inclusion leader who combines strong expertise with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children.
You will:
- Have a strong track record of successful Inclusion leadership and improving outcomes for children.
- Hold QTS and the National Award for SENDCos and/or NPQ SEND.
- Have extensive knowledge of SEND, attendance, behaviour and inclusive practice.
- Is skilled in coaching, mentoring and developing others.
- Can build strong relationships and provide both support and challenge to leaders.
- Shares our vision of creating unique, exceptional and sustainable schools that inspire communities and empower children.
Additional Information
This role is a one-year secondment opportunity and requires flexibility to work across schools within the partnership. Travel across our schools and locations will be required.
