About this Role

Do you want to make a positive difference to children - become a Board Director of Spiral Partnership  Trust.

Spiral Partnership Trust is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) of six primary schools in Hertfordshire whose vision is to "Shape a Better Future" for our children, parents, staff and the communities we serve.  Across the Trust we have 350+ employees.

The Board is looking to strengthen its expertise and is seeking to appoint additional directors, ideally with a legal, HR or finance background, to join its committed team.  However, enthusiasm, interest and a willingness to learn are equally as important as a background in one of the skills highlighted.

This is a voluntary, unpaid role for someone with the energy and skills to make a contribution to the future of our schools; a specialist knowledge of education is not essential.  Directors are responsible for the strategic direction of the Trust and are supported by committed and hardworking headteachers and a talented central team.

The Board meets formally 4 times a year, split between daytime and evening meetings; each Director also sits on a sub-committee and these meet 3 or 4 times a year in addition to Board meetings.

If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity and how you can support the Trust with its vision, please contact the Chair, Robin Douglas OBE by emailing clerk@spiral.herts.sch.uk

Please visit our website – www.spiral.herts.sch.uk – for more information about Spiral Partnership Trust.

Spiral Partnership Trust is committed to safeguarding and successful applicants will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide character references.

Applicants are asked to complete the suppelementary information form attached.
