Computing and Digital at South Staffordshire College are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled teacher to support our Game Art and Animation provision, working within our Games Production team which has seen significant investment by the college.
Candidates need to support our high expectations in motivating our learners, developing their craft, requiring a high level of technical competence and up-to-date knowledge of practical practices, and in supporting learners in their progression towards career in Games and game adjacent careers. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of working in creative environment, and a proactive approach towards maintaining and developing new skills to support the rapidly evolving technologies and software used in the games industry.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to help play a vital role in further building our provision which is growing from strength to strength, and in supporting the regions aspirations as a digital and creative county.
The successful applicant will have a
degree in an Art/Games Art related field, a full teaching qualification (e.g.
PGCE) or looking to work towards such, together with experience of teaching.
They should also be confident in their use of a range of software which should
include the Adobe suite (inc Substance), the Autodesk suite, Blender &
Unreal Engine.
