About this Role
Job Title: Daycare Nursery School Cleaner
Job Purpose:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for children, staff, and visitors by carrying out daily cleaning duties within the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean classrooms, play areas, toilets, offices, and communal areas
-
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
-
Clean and disinfect surfaces, toys, tables, chairs, and equipment
-
Empty bins and dispose of waste safely
-
Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet supplies
-
Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
-
Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
-
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
-
Ensure cleaning is carried out with minimal disruption to children and staff
Health & Safety:
-
Adhere to nursery safeguarding policies
-
Follow COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines
-
Wear protective clothing where required
Skills & Qualities Required:

Attention to detail
-
Ability to work independently
-
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
-
Awareness of hygiene standards in childcare settings
-
Physically fit to carry out cleaning duties
Experience & Qualifications:

Previous cleaning experience preferred (but not essential)
-
Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials is an advantage
Working Hours:

Part-time
-
Early morning or after nursery hours
