About this Role

Are you an exceptional school leader ready to make a difference beyond a single school?

Do you believe that collaboration, high expectations and a relentless focus on outcomes can transform the life chances of children and young people?

If so, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust is entering an exciting new phase of its development. With 15 schools across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Hertfordshire, we are building a stronger, more connected Trust where collaboration is not simply encouraged – it is expected. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a Trust that is ambitious, outward-facing and determined to improve outcomes for every child.

We are seeking an outstanding educational leader to join our executive team as Trust Director of School Improvement. This is a newly created role that reflects our commitment to accelerating improvement, strengthening professional development and ensuring every school benefits from the collective expertise of the Trust.

Working directly with the CEO, Headteachers and Trust leaders, you will lead our school improvement strategy, drive excellence in teaching and learning, oversee quality assurance and support leaders to achieve the highest standards for pupils. You will combine challenge with support, using evidence, collaboration and innovation to secure sustainable improvement across our schools.

You will lead on teaching, learning, curriculum, professional development and educational standards across the Trust, helping schools move from good to great and ensuring that every child receives the highest quality education.

Importantly, you will work alongside our newly appointed Trust Director of Inclusion, ensuring that inclusion and excellence go hand in hand. Together, you will help create a Trust where every child—regardless of need, background or starting point—can thrive.

This is not a role for someone seeking to maintain the status quo.

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Has a proven track record of securing school improvement and raising outcomes for pupils.
  • Is passionate about educational excellence and transforming life chances.
  • Thrives in collaborative environments and values the power of collective expertise.
  • Can inspire, support and develop leaders at every level.
  • Is driven, ambitious and comfortable working at pace.
  • Can balance challenge and support to bring about meaningful change.
  • Wants to play a central role in shaping the future direction of an ambitious Trust.

Why join Diamond Learning Partnership Trust?

This is a rare opportunity to join a Trust that is actively reshaping how it delivers school improvement. We are investing in leadership capacity, strengthening collaboration across our schools and creating the conditions for rapid improvement.

We are not interested in maintaining what exists; we are building what comes next.

Working alongside a newly strengthened executive team, including our new Trust Director of SEND and Inclusion, you will help shape the future of a Trust that is ambitious for every child, every school and every colleague.

Our schools are committed to working together, sharing expertise and challenging one another to be even better. We believe the best ideas come from collaboration, that strong relationships drive improvement and that every school should benefit from the collective strength of the Trust.

In return, you will find talented and committed Headteachers, supportive governance, a culture of innovation and a Trust that is determined to improve outcomes for all children. You will have the opportunity to influence education at scale, develop future leaders and leave a lasting legacy across a family of schools that is proud of its achievements but even more excited about its future.

If you are excited by the opportunity to lead improvement at scale, work at pace and help shape the next stage of our journey, we would love to hear from you.

Join us and help write the next chapter of the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust.
