About this Role

TCES Northwest & TCES Ealing are looking for a highly organised and proactive Exam Officer to lead on the administration, coordination and delivery of all internal and external examinations and accreditations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring our pupils have the best possible experience of the examination process, working in line with awarding body regulations and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

Outside of exam season, you will work under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, supporting educational and pastoral work with individual pupils, small groups, and providing cover across TCES Northwest & TCES Ealing.

Key Responsibilities

Manage pupil entries for all external examinations and accreditations, liaising closely with SLT.

Submit entries and coordinate deadlines for GCSEs, Functional Skills, SATs and vocational accreditations.

Organise SEN provision and access arrangements in collaboration with the SENCo, in line with JCQ guidance.

Oversee the day-to-day running of examinations, including invigilation, resources and exam room readiness.

Ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations, maintaining audit-ready documentation.

Oversee the distribution of results and certificates, and support post-results analysis and moderation.

Support wider school life outside exam season, including planned cover and pupil support.

What We're Looking For

Experience with student record systems and examination processes, including knowledge of JCQ regulations and access arrangements.

Extensive experience working directly with pupils in an educational or related setting.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and peaks of activity.

A clear understanding of safeguarding, special educational needs and neurodiversity.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and awarding bodies.

Why Join TCES

At TCES, we are committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable young people. You'll be joining a supportive team that shares our values and is dedicated to making a genuine difference. We offer ongoing training and development, and the chance to be part of a organisation that truly puts pupils first.

TCES is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
