The successful candidate will partner with senior stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting and strategic decision-making.

This is far more than a traditional finance role. You'll become a trusted adviser to senior leaders, translating financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making that shapes the future of our schools.

  • Produce insightful management information that drives action.

  • Help schools improve value for money and maximise resources for pupils.

  • Influence decision-making at both school and Trust level.

  • Support strategic projects, organisational growth, system improvements and new schools joining the Trust.

The role includes preparing budgets and long-term financial plans, producing management information, identifying financial risks and opportunities, providing scenario modelling and supporting strategic financial decision-making across schools.

What You'll Gain

  • A varied and rewarding role partnering multiple schools.

  • The opportunity to influence strategic decisions and see the impact of your work.

  • Exposure to senior leadership teams, governors and Trust executives.

  • A collaborative and supportive finance team.

  • Opportunities to develop expertise in education finance, financial modelling and business partnering.

  • Access to the LGPS defined benefit pension scheme.

The Trust values collaboration, professional development, continuous improvement and cross-Trust working, creating opportunities for staff to learn, lead and develop.

You'll have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

  • Experience producing financial reports and forecasts.

  • The ability to explain complex financial information in a way that non-finance colleagues can understand.

  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.

We welcome applications from candidates who have developed their financial and analytical expertise in any sector. We are particularly interested in candidates who are excited by data analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and who can demonstrate strong business partnering. Experience with Power BI and Power Query would be highly advantageous
