About this Role

Working across both Tenbury CE and Burford CE School.

Are  you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and families? We are seeking a motivated, positive, and compassionate Family Learning Mentor to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is a strong listener, has high expectations for all children, and is committed to helping families overcome barriers to learning and wellbeing.

We are proud to be part of the Diocese of Hereford Multi Academy Trust, guided by the values of grace, service, and family. Our schools are inclusive, nurturing environments where every child is known, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.

You will work as part of a supportive team of Family Learning Mentors across the Trust. Collaboration is central to this role, working closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to ensure children are fully supported to thrive, achieve, and belong.

The successful candidate will:

  • Share our vision to enable every child to thrive and feel a sense of belonging.
  • Demonstrate commitment and care in supporting children and families every day.
  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently using their own initiative.
  • Be able to set up, signpost, and deliver family support and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Show integrity, flexibility, resilience, and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

The post involves working directly with children and families within the school setting on a term-time only basis,  Monday-Friday.  Flexibility may occasionally be required to start earlier or finish later to meet the needs of families and the school community.

Please note that the Trust and School reserve the right to close this advertisement before the published closing date.

The Diocese of Hereford Multi Academy Trust and its schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The appointment will be in line with the Trust's Safer Recruitment Policy and the post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.
