At Manor Farm Nursery we're all about helping children develop through play and the great outdoors. We are a family owned Nursery based on a unique farm setting in Lechlade on Thames. 

Job purpose:  To  help deliver high quality childcare in a holiday club setting, creating a caring, secure and nurturing environment for all children to  play, learn and develop. Always uphold a professional manner, to support the holiday club leader and management team, ensuring full compliance of all polices and procedures and meeting the requirements of the Statutory Framework, consistently.

Your key tasks and responsibilities:

  • To provide excellent care and deliver activities for the children under the guidance and supervision of a qualified member of staff.
  • To contribute ideas to planning within the holiday club, including structured activities.
  • To supervise the children during visitors or offsite activities.
  • To act professionally at all times and act as a positive role model.
  • To work collaboratively with other practitioners, ensuring children's safety is paramount to all you do.
  • To promote positive behaviour across the nursery in accordance with out behaviour policy.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • To identify any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the nursery policy and current safeguarding training.
  • To undertake a risk assessment, ensuring all areas are safe and secure before allowing children to enter and remove any light weighting items which are unsafe (e.g. broken bike), or reporting any major breakages to the maintenance person(s) and the  Manager on duty that day. Report any accidents or incidents to management immediately.
