About this Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Enhanced Teaching Assistant to support students with emotional literacy.

The role involves working closely with teachers to provide individualised assistance, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop their learning skills.

You will assist our SENDCo with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and assist in the induction process for students.

If you have a background or interest in working with young people and a desire to empower students, we encourage you to apply.

An ELSA qualification would be an advantage, but training will be given.

The role is 35 hours per week, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm, term time only.

A sense of humour and a passion for working with neurodiverse young people is essential.

The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is one of the most successful Alternative Provision schools in the country and has the privilege to educate and support vulnerable young people from across Central Bedfordshire.  This is a unique opportunity to work in a trauma informed environment, to provide meaningful education that enables each of our pupils to reach their potential.   Ideally, you will have experience of working with young people with additional needs, although all relevant skills and experience will be considered.

We particularly value the well-being of every member of our school community and regard this as fundamental to the success of our school.  We are proud of the level of investment we place in the learning and development of our staff to ensure that every team member has the excellent level of training they need to be effective in their role.

If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please contact Mrs Helen Nicholson on 01462 410450 or hnicholson@acb.beds.sch.uk.  We will be delighted to answer any questions or arrange a visit to the school.  This vacancy is at our Stotfold Campus.

For more information about our school please visit www.acb.beds.sch.uk.

The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an online social media search.  All candidates who are shortlisted will be subject to an online search.
