About this Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will build positive relationships with students and help to maintain a calm and safe environment.

If you have a background or interest in working with young people, and a desire to empower them, we encourage you to apply.

The role is 35 hours per week, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm, term time only.

A sense of humour and a passion for working with neurodiverse young people is essential.

The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is one of the most successful Alternative Provision schools in the country and has the privilege to educate and support vulnerable young people from across Central Bedfordshire.  This is a unique opportunity to work in a trauma informed environment, to provide meaningful education that enables each of our pupils to reach their potential.   Ideally, you will have experience of working with young people with additional needs, although all relevant skills and experience will be considered.

We particularly value the well-being of every member of our school community and regard this as fundamental to the success of our school.  We are proud of the level of investment we place in the learning and development of our staff to ensure that every team member has the excellent level of training they need to be effective in their role.

If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please contact Mrs Helen Nicholson on 01462 410450 or hnicholson@acb.beds.sch.uk.  We will be delighted to answer any questions or arrange a visit to the school.
