The Board of Trustees is the decision-making body and is
accountable for all its academies equally. In accordance with the Trust’s
Scheme of Delegation, some responsibilities are delegated to committees, local
governing boards or individuals, but the Board of Trustees remains accountable
for all decisions made. It has four core functions:
·
Direction: Ensure there is clarity of vision, ethos and
strategic direction.
·
Performance: Hold executive leaders to account for
educational performance, pupil outcomes and staff performance management.
·
Finance: Oversee the financial performance of the Trust
and make sure its money is well spent.
·
Stakeholders: Ensure the voices of stakeholders are
heard.
You must be 18 or over to be a trustee and you do not need to be a
parent. No specific experience in the education sector is required. We welcome
trustees from diverse backgrounds with skills and professional knowledge in a
variety of areas such as finance, HR, audit and risk, IT and estates
management. Most importantly though, we want people with enthusiasm, commitment
and to share our ambition to go from ‘Good to Great’.
