About this Role

We are currently looking to recruit two Wrap Around Care Assistants to work in our before and after school provision.


Grade 3 SCP4

7.30 a.m. – 9.00 a.m.   

1.5 hours a day, 7.5 hours a week, 38 weeks a year term time only – actual salary £4,291.87 p.a.

3.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.   

3 hours a day, 15 hours a week, 38 weeks a year term time only – actual salary £8,583.74 p.a.

Both roles combined 

22.5 hours a week, 38 weeks a year term time only – actual salary £12,875.61 p.a.

Full time, full year equivalent £25,185.00 p.a.

You will provide safe, engaging, and high-quality childcare for pupils before and/or after the school day. The role supports children’s wellbeing, development, and enjoyment through structured and free-play activities in a nurturing environment.

Care & Supervision

  • Supervise and care for children aged 3–11 in a safe and inclusive environment (supported by a level 3 qualified EYFS practitioner)
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and safeguarding of all children at all times
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety

Activity Planning and Delivery

  • Plan and lead a range of creative, fun, and age-appropriate activities (e.g. arts and crafts, games, outdoor play)
  • Encourage children’s participation and social interaction
  • Support children’s emotional, social and physical development

Daily Operations

  • Assist with setting up and tidying away equipment and resources
  • Prepare and supervise snacks or light meals, following food hygiene standards (food hygiene training will be provided)
  • Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment

Behaviour & Inclusion

  • Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policy
  • Promote inclusion, equality and respect for all children
  • Support children with additional needs where appropriate

Communication

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff
  • Communicate effectively with parents at drop-off and collection times
  • Report concerns or incidents to class teachers/ headteacher/ designated safeguarding lead as appropriate

Safeguarding

  • Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns and report any issues immediately
  • Complete required safeguarding training and adhere to statutory guidance
