Behind every well‑run Trust is a strong and reliable finance team – the people who quietly keep things running, ensure resources are used wisely, and support schools so they can focus on what matters most: children and learning.

The Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust is a caring, ambitious and growing family of schools, where children and colleagues are supported to flourish. Guided by our shared values – together we love, we learn, we live – we work collaboratively to create environments where every child can thrive and reach their potential.

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑focused Finance Assistant who takes pride in their work and plays a vital role in supporting the Trust’s day‑to‑day financial operations. You will join a supportive, collaborative and values‑driven team, working across our schools and central services.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Supports the smooth running of financial processes, including invoices, payments and reconciliations, with accuracy and care
  • Keeps financial records up to date and organised, using strong ICT skills and attention to detail
  • Responds promptly to queries, supporting colleagues, schools and suppliers in a professional and approachable way
  • Works collaboratively within the finance team and across the Trust, building positive working relationships
  • Supports key finance tasks such as reporting, audits and maintaining accurate records
  • Takes a proactive, “can do” approach, helping to improve processes and support wider Trust priorities

At DCET, you will find:

  • A welcoming, supportive and collaborative team
  • A Trust where values, wellbeing and professional trust matter
  • Opportunities for training, development and building your financial experience
  •  A growing organisation with ambition and a strong sense of purpose
  • The chance to make a real difference by supporting our schools and the children they serve

The Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust is proud to be a growing family of schools across the South West, offering opportunities to collaborate, learn and develop within a supportive network.

If you’re looking for a finance role with purpose – where your work supports schools every day and makes a meaningful difference – we would be delighted to hear from you.
