Salary: TST Grade 6 SCP 9-15 (£27,254-£30,024 FTE)

About the Role:
As a member of our new Attendance & Welfare Team, the Home School Link Worker will provide a complementary service to existing teachers and school staff across the trust. You will work with children and families who need extra support to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside school, helping them to achieve their full potential.
By doing so, you will play a vital role in enabling schools to:
Raise standards of achievement
Improve attendance
Enhance behaviour and overall school climate
You will also support families directly, building relationships, providing guidance, and connecting them with the resources they need to thrive, while complementing the work already being done by teachers and school staff.
As a Home School Link Worker, you will:
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and schools to promote attendance, engagement, and well-being.
Support families to overcome barriers affecting learning and development.
Collaborate with schools, social services, and other agencies to provide tailored support.
Facilitate workshops, family learning sessions, and community engagement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children, families, or in community outreach.
Experience working with children experiencing a range of difficulties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team.
Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable families.

Interview Information: Please note that the interview day will involve two school locations: your task will take place at one school, and the interview will be held at another. Access to a vehicle and the ability to drive between sites is essential.
