About this Role

Post Title: Head of Finance

As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our trust. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all financial operations, lead strategic financial planning, and provide invaluable insights to guide decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing budgets across the trust.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Leading on procurement, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Supporting the trust's overall strategy with data-driven financial solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in finance leadership, preferably within education,  other public sector organisations or charities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • A collaborative leader with exceptional communication abilities.
  • ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualifications.

Start Date:  26th May 2025               

Hours:  37 hours per week,  5 days per week, 52 weeks per annum

Job Type: Fixed Term linked to growth plans

Working Days: Monday – Thursday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, and Friday, 9.00 am to 4.30 pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break

Salary Grade: NJC Grade M4 (SCP 40 - SCP 42)  –  (FTE £49,764 - £51,802 PA) plus pension benefits and family private healthcare
