Opportunity to join our Trust

Leger Education Trust is a Multi Academy Trust serving the community of Doncaster, we strive to deliver excellence in education for each of our students across nine academies within our Trust.

What are we looking for?

We have various vacancies across our Trust and are seeking to appoint Governors to our Academy Governing Bodies (AGB). The role of the AGB is to maintain strong oversight and compliance with the responsibilities delegated by the Trust Board and as set out in the Scheme of Delegation.  

Governors do not need to be experts in the field of education. What they do need is an interest in the academy, the local community and in the welfare of our students, as well as the time and willingness to get involved. Governors also need what is known as ‘soft skills’ – the ability to be able to build relationships with a range of people, to be able to work as part of a team, to be able to question, and to make connections between different types of information. All Governors are expected to be able to read straight forward budget reports and data on academy standards.

We welcome applicants who seek to join us in creating an environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and personally, with opportunities for enrichment and a community-led approach to education. We recognise our social and moral role in our communities and hope that our new Governors can work with us to continue striving for that.

Meetings

All Meetings are planned in advance, with dates being published at the beginning of each academic year.

Meetings occur six times per year, once per half term and are usually held face to face at the individual academy.
