About this Role

Thank you for your interest in the position of Senior IT Technician at True Learning Partnership (TLP). This is an exciting time to join our central IT team, supporting the schools within our Trust.

The role is primarily focused on supporting our Primary schools, while also providing additional capacity to our High School IT teams. The successful candidate will be required to travel to all current and future schools within the Trust.

True Learning Partnership is a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust made up of five schools, brought together by a shared commitment to collaboration, inclusion and high standards. Everything we do is rooted in our belief that children, families and communities should be at the heart of education. As our Trust continues to grow and develop, how we communicate who we are, what we stand for and what we offer has never been more important.

As a Senior IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive IT support to our schools and central team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Trust’s IT infrastructure and to apply your technical expertise in a varied and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert IT support to schools and the central team, ensuring the smooth operation of systems and the effective resolution of technical issues.

Oversee the IT help desk, efficiently allocating tasks and ensuring the timely resolution of tickets, including managing and resolving escalated issues using advanced troubleshooting skills.

Maintain and update the asset register, ensuring accurate records of all IT equipment and resources across the Trust.

Participate in IT projects and system implementations, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the Trust’s IT infrastructure.

Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for further details.

Your supporting statement should clearly outline the skills, experience, knowledge and personal qualities you would bring to the role and explain how these align with the vision and values of True Learning Partnership.

True Learning Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment and to comply with the Trust’s Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures at all times.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and obtain any other statutorily required clearances. Employment will also be subject to the receipt of at least two satisfactory references (one of which must be from the current or most recent employer) and evidence of the formal qualifications required for the role.
