About this Role

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As the Chief Executive Officer of our unique and growing Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health and wider Special Educational Needs, you will be the key driver in delivering the Trust Board’s agreed strategic objectives and achieving the Trust vision and mission. This leadership role demands an ambitious, visionary and strategically commercial thinker, enabling educational and organisational improvement at scale; ensuring sustainability, compliance, and the mitigation of risk; and building strategic partnerships with a range of stakeholders to ensure both strong educational outcomes for pupils and the sustainable development of the Trust.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide exceptional and inspirational leadership which ensures that the Trust community continuously improves in every area. Working closely with the Trust Board, Academy Leaders, key members of the Central Team (school improvement, HR, finance and operations) and the wider Trust community to lead and oversee the efficient, effective and compliant management of the Trust and its Academies.

Support and drive the Trust Board ambition for growth and expansion, seeking and identifying the right commercial opportunities achieved through strong professional and community connections.  

Provide strong strategic and organisational leadership towards the Trust’s vision and mission in a way that aligns with the Trust core values. Ensure that a balance is maintained between central, Trust strategies and enabling Academies and teams the autonomy to locally respond and partner with the communities in which they serve. Ensure that the Trust performs in a way which provides a high-quality education and service for all its pupils and wider stakeholders through the efficient use of resources and people. As a system leader, represent and promote the work of the Trust with a wide range of stakeholders and key influencers and partners to further develop the Trust as a leader and influencer in education for pupils with SEMH and wider SEND. Act as the Trust’s Accounting Officer and be responsible for: Ensuring the trust fulfils the statutory and regulatory responsibilities set out in the Academy Trust Handbook Ensuring the responsible and appropriate use of public funds Planning, implementing and monitoring the Trust’s internal and external financial reporting
