Make a Difference in Local Education – Become a Chair of Governors

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in your community? Do you live or work in the local community and want to make a real difference in our schools?

The Ambition Education Trust is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Local Governing Boards, especially those who may be interested in stepping into the role of Chair of Governors.

Are you currently a governor and ready to take the next step into a leadership role?

If so, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact.

Or do you bring leadership experience and an interest in education? If so, this is a valuable opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact in local schools.

As Chair, you will play a vital role in supporting school leadership, driving strategic direction, and ensuring high standards of education. You will:-

· Support and constructively challenge school leaders
· Help shape the strategic direction of the school
· Ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils

We welcome application from individuals who:

· Have experience as a governor or in leadership/strategic roles
· Possess strong communication and organisational skills
· Are committed to collaborative working and school improvement

You don’t need to be an education specialist – just bring your perspective, commitment, and enthusiasm. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
