Post: SENDCo - Part time (non-class based)
Location: St Michaels Primary School, Lower Church Rd, Sandhurst GU47 8HN and Crazies Hill Primary School, Reading RG10 8LY
Salary Range: MPS/UPS (M1-UPS3) plus SENCo allowance (pro rata)
Contract Type: Part time, Permanent – 7 hours per week a St Michaels and 3 hours per week at Crazies Hill

About the role
We are seeking to appoint a fully qualified and experienced SENDCo to lead and develop targeted provision for pupils with special educational needs across two of our high-performing schools. Both of which have supportive staff teams and wonderful children.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative and supportive team. You will work closely with senior leaders and expert educators, while also benefiting from being part of a wider Trust network of SENDCos and partners who share expertise and best practice. Together, you will play a vital role in shaping inclusive provision and unlocking the future for every child.
You will take strategic responsibility for the oversight and implementation of SEND policy and provision, ensuring the delivery of bespoke, high-quality support that enables all pupils to thrive and achieve their full potential.
About the successful candidate
You will need to have:
QTS with a proven record of excellent teaching to meet children's needs, both academically and socially hold the NPQSENCO Qualification/SENDCo qualification (essential)
A passion for providing all children with the best education possible
Experience with statutory systems and documentation around Education, Health and Care Plans and associated paperwork
have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies such as Keeping Children Safe in Education
Experience working with external organisations and agencies who provide services/advice for pupils with special educational needs
A clear understanding of high-quality teaching and provision for pupils with specific learning needs
Enthusiasm, ambition and a caring attitude
Ability to be a team player working as part of a team to ensure every child flourishes
High expectations of achievement and behaviour
A strong commitment to inclusion
The ability to develop and establish positive relationships with parents
Enjoy working in collaboration with SENDCo’s across our Trust network
And external partners to ensure best practice and the highest quality provision
