The Role
The ICT Technician will provide effective technical support across the
Trust, ensuring that ICT systems are reliable, secure, and fit for purpose. You
will work closely with teaching staff, support teams, and external providers to
maintain and enhance our digital infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical
skills who enjoys working in an educational environment and supporting staff
and students.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as
the first point of contact for ICT support, resolving helpdesk queries and
escalating where needed
- Troubleshoot
hardware, software, and network issues, working closely with the Network
Manager
- Support
the maintenance and development of ICT systems, including assisting with
larger change projects
- Provide
hands‑on classroom and site‑based technical support for staff
- Manage
ICT consumables and stock levels across the Trust
- Support
staff with content creation and specialist software, including Photoshop,
Premiere Pro, and PowerPoint
- Create
high-quality images and videos and prepare media for presentations, shows,
and concerts
- Deliver
sound, lighting, and ICT support for school events, including some
out-of-hours work
- Undertake
other ICT duties as directed by the Strategic Leader of ICT
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a capable and enthusiastic ICT professional with a solid
technical background and a proactive, can‑do approach.
You will have:
- GCSEs
(or equivalent) in English and Maths and a commitment to ongoing
professional development
- Experience
supporting Windows and Apple operating systems, along with a range of
devices including laptops, tablets, and mobile phones
- Strong
working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, and core
network technologies (wired and wireless)
- Experience
supporting Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications
- An
understanding of key Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory,
Group Policy, Exchange Online, Entra, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience
supporting classroom AV equipment, including interactive whiteboards,
large displays, and projectors (desirable)
- Skills
in media, sound, and lighting support for events, performances, and shows
- Experience
with systems such as Arbor MIS, telephony, access control, or similar
enterprise solutions (desirable)

organised, self‑motivated, and able to take responsibility for your work
- A clear
communicator with a positive, flexible attitude
- Able to
handle sensitive information with high levels of confidentiality,
particularly in relation to safeguarding
Other requirements:
- A strong
commitment to safeguarding children and to the Trust’s values and vision
- Willingness
to work across multiple Trust sites — a full UK driving licence and access
to a car are essential
