About this Role

Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced IT Services Technician to join the Trust as soon as possible.

Post:  IT Services Technician

Location: Plymouth Based, Reach South Academy Trust, 1 Ross St, Devonport, Plymouth PL2 1DN

FTE Salary Range: £26,824 rising to a maximum of £29,540 (Plymouth NJC Grade D, Pts 8 - 14)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

Working as part of the Trust wide IT Services team, the IT Services Technician works across their cluster of schools providing on site technical support across our wide range of school settings, as well as remote support across the Trust as a whole. 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and complete tasks as allocated via the IT helpdesk
  • Ensure the effective maintenance and management of IT hardware, software and processes
  • Respond to IT helpdesk tickets in an appropriate and efficient manner, following trust best practice guidance.
  • Ensure IT asset management is kept up to date with in-life changes.
  • Support the development of knowledge base articles and runbooks when new procedures are identified.
  • Provide help and guidance to staff on day-to-day use of IT hardware and software

About the successful candidate

The successful candidate will be experienced in IT support within the Education, corporate or non-profit sector, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction through problem resolution.  They will also:

·         Have experience working within the Microsoft 365.

·         Have good written and verbal communication skills.

·         Be flexible and willing to learn.

·         Have a UK driving licence.
