Job Title: IT Services Manager
Location: Home-based with regular travel across Trust sites
FTE Salary Range: £37,280 - £39,862
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, All Year Round
Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the role
We are seeking a confident and experienced IT Services Manager to lead the operational delivery of IT services across Reach South Academy Trust.
This is a senior operational role, responsible for ensuring consistent, high quality IT support for staff and students across multiple academies. You will manage IT Cluster Leads, the central Service Desk and procurement activity, ensuring smooth business as usual delivery and continuous service improvement.
Working closely with the Head of IT and Infrastructure, you will translate strategy into effective operations while maintaining strong relationships with academy and regional leaders.
This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality IT support for staff and students, managing Cluster Leads, the Service Desk, and procurement activity.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading Trust wide IT service operations and BAU delivery
• Line managing Cluster Leads and the central Service Desk
• Owning incident, request, problem and change processes
• Managing IT procurement, assets and supplier relationships
• Acting as the key operational escalation point
• Driving service consistency, standards and continuous improvement

• Has experience managing IT service delivery in multi site environments
• Demonstrates strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understands IT service management principles and frameworks
• Is organised, resilient and calm under pressure
• Is committed to safeguarding and supporting education through technology
• Shares the values and ethos of Reach South Academy Trust
Previous experience in education or public sector environments is desirable
About the Trust
Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 20 academies in Cornwall, Devon, Bournemouth, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles.
