About this Role

Auriga Academy Trust Therapies is seeking a passionate new Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team working in-house. This role is unique in that the successful candidate will have access to a wealth of CPD and be able to gain experience across two different cohorts in SEN, while seeing the impact of their work every day.

“It’s an amazing place to work as a Therapist because you are really part of the school. I have never worked somewhere where the teachers and Therapists work so closely together. You can also be very flexible with the way you work. If you want to organise a school trip, you can. One day you could be working on the trampoline, then the local high street.”-Auriga Therapist

The role of the Occupational Therapist is:

  • To enable access to the curriculum and whole school experience for students within the Auriga Academy Trust who present with a diverse range of needs, including but not limited to: learning disabilities, physical needs, sensory needs, language disorder, autism, social communication needs, dyspraxia, ADHD and SEMH.
  • To promote a functional, clinical approach to intervention, encompassing educational attainment, participation in the education experience, life aspirations and general well-being.
  • To work collaboratively and contribute to the Auriga Academy Trust Therapy Team primarily within Capella House and Clarendon Schools.

You will be joining a friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable team and will have access to a wealth of training and development opportunities, including robust clinical supervision and peer support.

Further benefits at the Trust include

  • Our Employee Assistance Program- available to support you in times of need. Reach out confidentially for assistance with personal or work-related challenges.
  • The Cycle to Work scheme: apply for a brand-new bike and equipment through your salary, saving up to 42%.
  • Our Auriga Rewards benefits platform offers 1000s of discounts and offers from big-name brands in retail, travel, fitness, utilities, and wellbeing.
