We are seeking an exceptional Head of School to work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher to lead our SEMH special academy in St Neots.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and resilient leader to play a key role in the day-to-day leadership, development and continued improvement of our SEMH provision. Working closely with the Executive Headteacher, you will help shape and deliver the strategic vision for the academy while leading on the operational running of the school and ensuring the highest standards of education, care and safeguarding.
We are looking for an individual with the passion, resilience and emotional intelligence to work with children who have experienced significant trauma. The successful candidate will be deeply committed to supporting pupils and their families, creating a safe, nurturing and ambitious environment where every young person can succeed.
You will have a strong track record of developing and supporting staff, building a positive and sustainable team culture, and driving high standards in teaching, behaviour and outcomes. As Head of School, you will lead by example, embedding trauma-informed and relational practice, and ensuring consistency and quality across the provision.
Riverside Meadows Academy is a dual-site SEMH special school for pupils aged 11–16, including some pupils with additional needs. The academy is part of Horizons Education Trust, benefiting from the support of a dedicated CEO, Executive Team and an engaged Board of Trustees.
The two sites are based in St Neots and Wisbech, and the role will involve working across both locations in collaboration with the wider Trust.
