The Trust Partner is a senior strategic role designed to strengthen school improvement through research-informed evaluation and sustained, high-impact partnership.

Responsible for overseeing the work of designated schools, the Trust Partner ensures high standards, policy compliance and effective access to Trust support, while building strong professional relationships at every level.

Distinct from traditional school support, this role is characterised by frequent engagement, deep contextual understanding and active collaboration with leaders to diagnose issues, shape solutions and drive improvement.

Working in close partnership with Headteachers, without duplicating operational leadership, the Trust Partner provides support, challenge and additional capacity, always prioritising children’s outcomes.

The role requires credibility across all aspects of school improvement, emotional intelligence, and the judgement to know when to lead from the front and when to step back, evolving support as schools grow in confidence and capability.

In this role you will:

· Work with the CEO and Trustees to shape and deliver the Trust’s strategic vision, translating priorities into clear objectives and operational plans across allocated schools.

· Provide high support and high challenge to Headteachers, adapting your approach to each school’s context to secure sustained improvement in outcomes, attendance and standards.

· Monitor and evaluate school performance using evidence and benchmarks, supporting leaders to tackle underperformance and implement effective, research-informed improvement strategies

· Strengthen leadership capacity at all levels, supporting governance, succession planning, staff development and robust performance management systems.

· Ensure effective use of human, financial and physical resources, brokering additional Trust expertise where required and contributing to recruitment, retention and organisational design.

· Promote a collaborative, inclusive Trust culture that safeguards pupils, champions high expectations, strengthens community engagement and secures accountability for all learners, including those with SEND and eligible for Pupil Premium.
