About this Role

EYFS Class Teacher (Nursery Lead)

Required from: September 2026 (January 2027 considered)
Hours: Part-Time (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale + TLR

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational Early Years Teacher (Nursery Lead) to join our hugely improved school and nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner to play a key role in raising standards by inspiring, nurturing, and challenging all children to achieve their full potential.

You will be joining a caring and inclusive setting within a supportive trust that places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and high-quality CPD opportunities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead our Nursery provision, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and care for our youngest children. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies to provide a rich, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be a skilled and experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Have a strong understanding of child development and believe firmly in the potential of every child.
  • Be confident in leading and managing the Nursery team, driving high expectations and best practice.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding, adopting an attachment and relationship-based approach to behaviour, with awareness of how ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) impact learning and development.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and willing to take initiative.
  • Be hardworking, reflective, creative, and energetic in their approach to teaching.
  • Have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Uphold and model our ‘adult consistencies’ and school values at all times.

Potential candidates are warmly welcome to meet the Senior Leadership Team to learn more about this exciting role and the opportunities that it brings by visiting our school.
