About this Role

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative education leader to join King’s Group Academies as a Lead for Teaching and Learning.

This Trust-wide role offers an exciting opportunity to support the continued development of high-quality teaching and learning across our academies. Working closely with the Deputy CEO (Education), Headteachers, senior leaders and Curriculum Leads, you will play an important role in promoting evidence-informed practice, strengthening classroom teaching and supporting academy improvement.

At King’s Group Academies, our vision is Opportunity and Success on a Global Stage, underpinned by our values of Honesty, Faith and Courage. We believe that consistently high-quality teaching is central to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND.

The successful candidate will support the development and embedding of effective teaching and learning approaches across the Trust, working collaboratively with leaders and teachers to translate educational priorities into meaningful classroom impact. The role will also contribute to professional development, quality assurance activity and the development of effective teaching practice within the Trust’s Early Career Teacher provision.

This is a highly collaborative position, requiring someone who can build strong professional relationships, support leaders and teachers effectively, and contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement and shared practice across our academies.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a credible, values-driven professional who:

  • Has leadership experience within an educational setting

  • Has experience of supporting teaching, learning and school improvement

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of evidence-informed pedagogy and effective classroom practice

  • Is able to work collaboratively with leaders and teachers across different settings

  • Can translate educational priorities into practical classroom approaches

  • Has experience of designing or delivering professional development

  • Is committed to improving outcomes for all pupils, particularly those who are disadvantaged or have SEND

You will be someone who is collaborative, thoughtful and resilient, with the ability to build strong professional relationships and provide constructive support and challenge where appropriate.
