Part time and term time working considered for the right candidate
About this Role
As a People Partner at King's Group Academies, you'll play a key role in helping our leaders create thriving schools where colleagues feel supported, valued and able to perform at their best. Working across our Central Team and academies in Portsmouth and Sussex, you'll partner with Headteachers and senior leaders to provide expert advice on complex people matters, build leadership capability and support organisational change.
This is a business partnering role, focused on strategic HR rather than transactional processes. You'll coach leaders through employee relations matters, workforce planning, restructures, organisational development and change, while working collaboratively with our HR Operations team to ensure an excellent service across the Trust.
You'll be joining a forward-thinking People Team that is transforming how HR supports our academies. If you enjoy building trusted relationships, influencing senior leaders and making a genuine difference to organisational culture, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our growing Trust. Guided by our values of Honesty, Faith and Courage, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both our colleagues and the children and communities we serve.
About you
We're looking for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about partnering with leaders to achieve positive people outcomes. You'll be confident handling complex employee relations cases, providing commercially sound and legally compliant advice, and coaching managers to develop their confidence and capability.
You'll bring a collaborative approach, excellent relationship-building skills and the confidence to challenge constructively when needed. Whether supporting organisational change, influencing senior stakeholders or delivering Trust-wide initiatives, you'll be pragmatic, resilient and solutions-focused.
You'll also have:
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience advising managers in a complex or multi-site organisation.
- The ability to influence, coach and build credibility with leaders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and delivering an outstanding colleague experience.
If you're looking for a role where you can build strong partnerships, influence strategic decisions and help create an exceptional place to work, we'd love to hear from you.
