The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to join Bridge Academy. This is an exciting time with a planned significant improvement to the education offered to students. The successful candidate will support one of our centres on a day-to-day basis as well as being responsible for at least one Academy wide responsibility area, which will be confirmed, depending on the successful candidate’s skillset.
We operate across two sites in Coffee Hall and Manor Road. Our centres support young people across the full primary and secondary age ranges, including post 16 and are integral to the secondary and primary inclusion partnerships that operate across Milton Keynes. They work not only with mainstream partners but also with the Special sector – part of our Trust includes the secondary Special SEMH provision in Milton Keynes, Stephenson Academy.
We are looking for someone who cares deeply about holistic education and who wants to make a difference for some of the most disadvantaged young people in Milton Keynes. We have our own therapeutic team that provides support across all our sites and a range of mentoring staff that offer support on a 1:1 or small group basis. All this support, we believe, helps our young people engage and achieve.
You will be part of a dynamic senior team and report directly to the Principal who is based across the provisions, and in turn reports to the Executive Principal who has responsibility for all our provisions. You will have full operational responsibility for one provision plus three or four agreed cross Academy/Trust responsibilities to be agreed as well as being the lead for the site on a day to day basis.
Why choose our Trust?
We can offer you:
· A welcoming and positive working environment where the wellbeing of both students and staff is a top priority
· High quality professional development and support including bespoke CPD
· Small class sizes, with the ability to be truly creative, not prescriptive
· Progression opportunities across the Trust
· Free access to holistic treatments as part of our wellbeing policy
