MIS Data Reporting Assistant

Full time - 37 hours per week, all year round

Are you passionate about data and enjoy turning information into meaningful insight?  Do you have an eye for detail, a curious mindset, and a desire to make a real impact through accurate reporting and analysis?

We are looking for an MIS Data Reporting Assistant to join our Management Information Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data and wants to play a key role in supporting decision-making across the College. Working closely with the Head of IT & MIS and colleagues across a range of departments, you will help ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and compliant, while supporting the production of reports and analysis that drive performance and continuous improvement.

The role combines elements of traditional MIS administration with a stronger focus on data quality, reporting, and analysis. You will be responsible for maintaining learner and curriculum data, identifying and resolving data anomalies, supporting funding and audit requirements, and producing meaningful management information for colleagues and senior leaders. You will also contribute to the development of reporting processes and help transform data into valuable insight that supports both operational and strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and confidence working with large volumes of data. Advanced Excel and SQL skills are essential, and experience of education management information systems, Reporting Services, Power BI, or similar reporting tools would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in producing accurate work, and can communicate information clearly to a range of audiences.

In return, we offer the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team within a college that is committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and student success. If you are looking for a role where you can develop your analytical skills and make a tangible contribution through data-driven insight, we would love to hear from you.

Salary for the post will be on the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Scale – Pay Spine Point NJC 8 to NJC 10, currently £26,343 to £27,733 FTE

Additional benefits include:

  • generous Local Government Pension Scheme
  • free on-site gym facilities
  • free parking
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • excellent on-site catering provisions

If you enjoy working with data, have a methodical approach, and thrive in a busy and collaborative environment, we would welcome your application.

Closing date: 12pm on Thursday 2nd July 2026.

Interview date:  Tuesday 7th July 2026
