About this Role

We are seeking a hardworking and flexible person to join our Midday Meals team at St Helena’s C of E Primary Academy to start 1st September 2026

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 1 hour and 45 minutes per day, 8.75 hours per week (during term-time) to serve and to supervise children during their lunch period.

Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to teamwork is essential, as you will be joining a group of hardworking colleagues.

Roles and responsibilities:

· To set up the hall/ classroom on arrival – putting out tables, chairs and cutlery.

· To serve food to pupils ensuring that all pupils receive the meals that the parents have ordered.

· To supervise the pupils either in the hall or classroom.

· To supervise and interact with pupils during outdoor playtime.

· To be aware of any medical/dietary needs of those pupils in your care.

· To help clean the hall and classroom after the meals have been eaten.

· There will also be a requirement for further training in the role – for example- Food Hygiene & Allergy e-learning courses and manual handling.
