The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust are looking for
a teaching assistant to join the upper key stage two staff team at St James
Academy. The role requires strong subject knowledge in English and mathematics
as you will be working with the team to prepare pupils for their end of key
stage two statutory tests.
Main Responsibilities (see attached
job description for further details):

You will enjoy working with children and be confident to support class
teachers in delivering the core subjects of English and mathematics each
morning.
·
You will be confident to organise and lead small group intervention
programmes under the direction of the class teacher.
·
You may be required to cover supervise a class of children on
occasion.
·
You will follow safeguarding and child protection procedures and have
the ability to handle confidential information.

An Enhanced DBS certificate will be required on provisional offer, including
a check of the Children’s Barred List.
Further vetting checks, in line with the requirements of Keeping Children
Safe in Education 2025 will be completed following a provisional offer of
appointment. Where applicable, if an
applicant with a provisional offer of employment has lived and/or worked
outside the UK, they will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct.
