We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and
confident Cover Supervisor to join our supportive secondary school team. The
successful candidate will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence
of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their
learning. They will also support with other duties, pupil support and reporting
where necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise
classes during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a calm and
productive learning environment
- Deliver
pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff
- Manage
classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
- Build
positive and professional relationships with students to support
engagement and wellbeing
- Provide
feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour during
lessons
- Support
the wider life of the school, including undertaking duties (e.g.
break/lunch supervision)
- Work
collaboratively with teaching and support staff to uphold high standards
across the school
- Participate
in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training opportunities
- Safeguard
pupils in line with the school safeguarding policy
- Uphold the school ethos, rules and
regulations and application of Health and Safety Regulations.
- Oversee the distribution,
collection and storage of books and other equipment as directed by the
teacher.
- Invigilate examinations to the required
standard if needed.
