About this Role

Parrenthorn High School is a popular 11-16 co-educational secondary school which prides itself on providing a quality education for children of all abilities.  The school is located in a pleasant semi-rural area with easy access to the M60, M62 and M66 motorways, Bury and Manchester.

Candidates should be able to deliver art and other creative media (graphics, textiles and photography), confidently, across both key stages.

The ideal candidate will ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered; teaching and inspiring our independent and inquisitive learners to ensure that they develop their potential and are equipped for life beyond school.

If you are an inspirational teacher and team player, with the passion, creativity and drive to maintain the very high standards at Parrenthorn, we look forward to hearing from you. We are seeking an inspiring and imaginative Creative Media Teacher to join our vibrant Art and Design faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can teach across a range of creative disciplines including Art, Textiles, Graphics, and Photography and who is passionate about nurturing creativity in young people.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, you will find a supportive environment where innovation is encouraged and professional growth is championed. We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time hours.

The post is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to teach and work within a small but highly motivated and skilled team. The vacancy is suitable for an ECT or someone looking to broaden their teaching experience.

Application forms and further details are downloadable from this page and returnable to the Headteacher via email to: parrenthorn@bury.gov.uk, at the school by 9.00 a.m. on Monday 20th April and interviews will take place on Friday 24th April.
