About this Role

Hellingly Community Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, dedicated and preferably experienced Teaching Assistant 2/3 to support our newly established Wrap Around Care provision. You will need to be able to work well with children from Reception age to Year 6 and have the energy and initiative to create a fun environment for our afterschool provision.

Are you able to:-

• Manage pupils in accordance with behaviour policy?

• Assist pupils with personal and medical care routines?

Ideally applicants would hold the Teaching Assistant 3 qualification but this is not essential.

The role will be from 2:45pm to 5:45pm Monday to Thursday and 2:45pm to 4:45pm Friday. This is a temporary position initially starting on 1st September 2026 until 21st July 2027 but we are hoping to be able to make this a permanent position if the provision is well attended.

The successful candidate will be joining a very committed staff and their ability to work well within our team is crucial. Excellent support will be available from colleagues in both our school and from our colleagues as part of the Wandle Learning Trust.

We are able to offer you:-
• A commitment to your continued professional development and career progression

• A small community school with a pleasant working environment

• A supportive and experienced team of staff

• Pleasant and cooperative children

• Working within a federation

We support and encourage both staff and pupils through our school values of:-

• Respect – We value others for who they are and always show respect

• Achievement – We always try our best to achieve our full potential

• Perseverance – We celebrate risks and are determined to never give up

Training and full induction to the school will be provided.
