Tiffield
Academy is the newest addition to the special academy portfolio within the very
successful Greenwood Academies Trust. The academy opened its doors in September
2025 and will be welcoming up to 140 students in its first year and growing to
230 students over subsequent years. The purpose-built new building
has been designed with the students’ needs at the forefront of everyone’s
thoughts with good sized classrooms, quiet spaces for group work and calming
spaces as well as sensory rooms. There will be dedicated rooms for Food
Technology, Art and Science as well as workspaces for staff. Thought has
been put into the exterior design too, including an outdoor games area, sensory
garden and horticulture area planned.
Both our Academy and Greenwood Academies Trust are
committed to supporting pupils and staff alike. Providing pupils with the
highest-quality education is of the utmost importance but we recognise that in
order to achieve this, teachers and staff must be properly supported with
strong leadership, a climate of trust, research and innovation, and ongoing CPD
opportunities.
