An amazing opportunity is available to become the Curriculum Leader, Careers at Tiffield Academy. You will drive high quality practice and be responsible for the support and development of our pupils as we prepare them for their next steps.

 

We’re looking for an exceptional leader who: 

  • is excited about providing the very best education for children with complex special educational needs and has significant experience of working with autistic children
  • is passionate about developing an aspirational curriculum for our pupils which is adapted to the needs of individuals and focuses on what’s really important
  • has experience of developing a curriculum which empowers learners to experience opportunities which allow them to make informed decisions about their future
  • is able to proactively lead in this area of expertise which will enhance the curriculum offer available to our children and young people
  • is able to inspire leaders, teachers and support staff to use a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and by modelling your own, excellent classroom practice
  • is able to contribute to a positive culture amongst staff 
  • can build positive relationships with staff, students and families alike
  • is able to demonstrate the values that underpin our approach to supporting students 
  • Lead the development and delivery of whole school careers program, ensuring progression- (EG - EYFS role play, ks1 trips, ks2 school visits, ks3 careers day, ks4 work experience)
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidance, including the Gatsby Benchmarks and relevant SEND frameworks
  • Design individual careers pathways that reflect learners’ abilities and interests- EG: further education, assisted living/ work
  • Coordinate work experience, school visits employer encounters & careers fairs, appropriate to learners’ needs.
  • Build strong partnerships with local employers, colleges and apprenticeships
  • Support learners in developing employability skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student destinations and track progress
