About this Role

    At Strike Lane Primary School we’re all about creating a welcoming and inspiring place to learn and work. We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic Midday Play Leader to engage with the pupils in positive and meaningful play during the lunchtime break.

    In this role, you are required:

    To follow the School's Behaviour Policy;

      To establish positive relationships with pupils

        Be proactive in preventing poor behaviour from escalating and in keeping children engaged in productive play; 

          Keep pupils out of classrooms, toilets etc when they should be outside; 

            Deal with accidents in the playground or dining area and report in line with school procedures; 

              Keep young pupils occupied when they have to stay indoors;

                Work co-operatively as part of the school team;

                  Ensure children's safety is maintained at all times;

                    Walk pupils to/from the playground to the dinner hall in an orderly manner

                      To work within school policies and procedures

                        To take care of their own and other people's health and safety

                        To maintain a good level of attendance


                          This position is part time, permanent, working 5 hours per week Monday to Friday 12pm to 1pm, term-time only plus training time
