Oakleaf Primary School is looking to a SEN TA to join our team.

Oakleaf Primary School educates children from Nursery to Year 6 on a large site with plenty of classroom and outdoor space.  The staff benefit from the opportunities afforded by being part of the well-established Scholars’ Education Trust, with close links to The Hemel Hempstead School and Longdean School, both local SET schools, and others within Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire.

Scholars’ Education Trust is an established, cross-phase, Hertfordshire based multi-academy trust.  Formed in 2012, SET has enjoyed measured growth, ensuring maximum educational impact alongside financial sustainability, and is currently made up of thirteen co-educational schools educating children from the ages of 3 to 18.  You can find out more about our trust by visiting our website www.scholarseducationtrust.co.uk

This is a great time to join SET. We are a growing trust with a proven record of school improvement and a strong moral purpose.

If you would like more information or to visit us to find out more, then please don’t hesitate to contact us on hr@scholarseducationtrust.co.uk.

An application pack is available on our website – www.scholarseducationtrust.co.uk/391/current-vacancies. CVs will not be accepted.

Application closing date: 9am, 8 May 2026

Interview: 14 May 2026

We reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged.

Diversity: The Scholars’ Education Trust is fully committed to the principles of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion.  We want to attract and retain the very best staff in all areas of the trust, ensuring our staff body reflects the diversity of our students and local community.

Scholars’ Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure Barring Service

Declaration of criminal offences

The trust is required to give you the opportunity to voluntarily declare convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings that are not ‘protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020). You will be provided with a criminal self-declaration form by the school if you are shortlisted for the post. All posts in schools are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If you are appointed you will be required to have an up to date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate. The existence of a criminal background does not automatically mean that you cannot be appointed but it may do so.
