We are looking for a dynamic maths leader to shape ambitious learning at Montpelier High School, raising achievement through strategic curriculum design, exceptional pedagogy, and a commitment to student success. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the development and management of teaching within your area.
• Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the academy improvement plan, SEF, national and local initiatives.
• Design, implement, and continually refine a high‑quality Maths curriculum that is ambitious, well‑sequenced, and accessible for all learners.
• Support, coach and develop staff, providing effective CPD, mentoring and performance management to build a strong, collaborative team.
• Model outstanding teaching practice, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging and aligned with the school's pedagogical expectations.

Pay range: 

• M1 - UPS3 plus TLR2B of £6068.00
• £38,984.00 - £57,116.00
• Full time, permanent 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• QTS or recognised equivalent
• Degree in subject specialism or related subject
• Ability to develop a number of curriculum areas
• Ability to develop and lead on assessment 
• Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards
