We are looking for an organised, proactive Admin Assistant to keep Merchants’ Academy running smoothly, supporting staff, students, and families every day.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Dealing with complex reception and visitor enquiries, sign in visitors and undertake general reception duties.
  • Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems, procedures and policies.
  • Undertaking administrative duties related to the post such as production of letters, reports and other documents as requested using relevant ICT packages such as spreadsheets, databases, Word, internet and SIMS.
  • Track and respond to enquiries, extensive and on-going phone, email and in-person communication.
  • Maintaining manual and computerised records/returns/management information systems.
  • Help with social media posts or willingness to learn

 

Pay range:

  • NJC SCP 5-7 - £22,500.95 - £23,222.16
  • FTE - £25,583.00 - £26,403.00
  • 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Monday - Friday

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications in both English and Maths
  • Ability to use ICT and other specialist equipment and resources
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity around information
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to adapt and be proactive in supporting wider office roles
