The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our Early Years team to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a small, supportive setting where relationships with children and families are at the heart of everything we do.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery team to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of our youngest children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in the nursery
  • Promote our Christian vision and values
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work with individuals and small groups of children
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
  • Assist with observations and contribute to children’s learning records
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and carers

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience of working with young children (preferably in an Early Years setting)
  • A warm, patient, creative and nurturing approach
  • A passion for creating an exciting learning environment in which children thrive
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Early Years)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
