Resourced Provision. Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and
external professionals, you will play an important role in creating a
consistent and nurturing environment in which the children can thrive. You will
be supporting children to engage in lessons both within the SRP and their
mainstream classes and be proactive in supporting independent learning,
confidence and wellbeing.
Hours would be Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 3.00pm with a 1
hour SEN meeting after school every other week, + 1 hour each week to run an
after school club.
We are a large, popular primary school with 650 children on
roll aged 2 - 11 including a Special Resourced Provision for children with
SLCN. We require a caring, highly motivated and dedicated practitioner who is
able to demonstrate consistently high standards. They will have skills of
empathy, listening, and excellent communication skills and be able to respond
with appropriate language to build a rapport with children, carers and
colleagues.
The successful candidate will have some previous experience
of working with children who have SLCN. They will also have an understanding of
how children learn most effectively, be a team player with good interpersonal
skills, and be committed to high standards of behaviour and achievement. Some
experience of using signalong is preferred, although training will be available.
